hi mate here is ur answer

the distance between two points can be determined by using the distance formulae

that is √(x1-x2)^2 + (y1-y2)^2

so here x1 = -6 ,x2 = -1

y1 = 7 ,y2 = -5

the distance between the two points p(-6,7) and q(-1,-5) is

√(-6-(-1))^2 + (7-(-5))^2

= √(-6+1)^2+(7+5)^2

= √(-5)^2 + (12)^2

= √25 + 144

= √169

= 13

therefore the distance between the two points is 13 units

hope it helps!!!
