two lines are parallel if

a1/a2 = b1/b2 ≠ c1/c2

the distance between two parallel lines ax+by+c1=0 and ax+by+c2=0 is

D = |c1 - c2| / √a²+b²

then the given lines x+y=2 & 2x+2y=6 are parallel

x+y=2

x+y=3

D = |2-3| /√1²+1²

D = 1/√2
