S O L U T I O N :

Given :

The two points are x & y :

  • x1 = 5/3
  • x2 = -1/2
  • y1 = 2/3
  • y2 = -3/2

Explanation :

As we know that formula of the distance :

  • D = √(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²

According to the question :

➞ D = √(x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²

➞ D = √(-1/2 - 5/3)² + (-3/2 - 2/3)²

➞ D = √(-1/2 - 5/3)² + (-3/2 - 2/3)²

➞ D = √(-3-10/6)² + (-9-4/6)²

➞ D = √(-13/6)² + (-13/6)²

➞ D = √(169/36) + (169/36)

➞ D = 13/6 + 13/6

➞ D = 13 + 13/6

➞ D = 26/6

Thus,

The distance between the two points will be 26/6 .
