Find the distance between two points: C(-9,5) and D(2,-3)

distance = sqrt[sq(x2-x1) + sq(y2-y1)]
= sqrt(121 + 64) = sqrt(185) = 13.601

By distance formula,

Distance = √{ [-9-2]² + [5-(-3)]²}

Distance = √{(-11)² +(5+3)²}

Distance = √{121+8²}


Distance = √(121+64)


Distance = √185 units
