to find distance between point (x,y)

by distance formula:

   √(x1-x2)²+(y1-y2)²

here since it is the distance from origin by assuming that x2 and y2 are the coordinates of the origin (0,0) it can be written as

    √(x1)²+(x2)² = the distance to the point away from origin
