Find the distance of a point P(x,y) from the origin

Take origin as (0,0) ; P(x, y)
Distance formula:
root of (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2
= root of (x-0)^2 + (y-0)^2
= root of x^2 + y^2

Origin =O(0,0)
Point= P(x,y)
Using Distance formula
√(x-0)²+(y-0)²
√x²+y²
√(x+y)²- 2xy (x+y)²=x²+y²+2xy
x+y-√2xy
