the distance between point P(x,y)and origin O(0,0)

PO=√(0–x) ²+(0–y) ²
PO=√(–x)²+(–y) ²
PO=√x²+y²

distance of point P ( x, y)

points of origin Q (0,0)

we use distance formula

√(x2 -x1) square + √( y2 -y1)square

√( 0 -x1)square + √ (0-y1) square

so it comes

√x^2 +y^2

it is the answer
