20 =  \frac{120 - u}{40}

800 = 120 - u

u =  - 680m \: per \: sec

v {}^{2}  - u {}^{2}  = 2as

(120 {)}^{2}  - ( - 680) {}^{2}  = 2 \times 20 \times s

 - 448000 = 2 \times 20 \times s

s =  \frac{ - 448000}{40}

s =  - 11200m

s = 11200m
