the two points are, (-2.4,1) and (0,0)

so,

d = \sqrt{(0--2.4)^2+(0--1)^2}

d = \sqrt{(2.4)^2+1}

d = \sqrt{5.76+1}

d = \sqrt{6.76}

d = 2.6 units
