find the distance of the point 3, - 4 from the origin

d=√(0-3)^2+(0+4)^2
D=√(3^2+4^2)
D=5 unit ans

origin is (0,0) and pt is (3,-4)
so applying distance formula.......

 \sqrt{(x2 - x1) { } ^{2} + )y2 - y1)  {}^{2} }
 \sqrt{(3 - 0 {})^{2}  + ( - 4 - 0) {}^{2} }
 \sqrt{9 + 16}
 \sqrt{25}
= ±5
but distance cant be negative....
so rejecting negatuve value.....
hence answer is.....
5 units......
