the domain of the function is -a<x<a
as a^2-x^2 should be>0 (as sqaure of -ve number is imaginary)
=>x^2<a^2
=>-a<x<a

Answer:

 - a \leqslant x \leqslant a \\

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the domain of the function

y =  \sqrt{ {a}^{2} -  {x}^{2}  }  \\

one have to find those values of x,for which y has real values.

for that;

we know square root give imaginary value for negative quantity.

Thus

 {a}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}   \geqslant  0 \\  \\  {a}^{2}   \geqslant   {x}^{2}   \\  \\  - a \leqslant x \leqslant a \\

is the range of function.

Hope it helps you.
