Find the edge of a cube whose surface area is 432 m².

Concept : surface area of a cube : Since all the six faces of a cube are squares of the same size.  

Given : Surface area of cube is 432 m².

Let the edge of the cube be 'a' m.

Surface area of cube = 6a²

6a² = 432

a² = 432/6

a² = 72

a = √72

a = √(36 × 2)

a = 6√2  m

Hence,  the edge of a cube is 6√2 m.
