Correct Question -

Find the edge of the cube whose volume is 100 cm³ .

In the above Question , we have been provided the following information -

The volume of the given cube is 100 cm³ .

To find -

We have to find the edge of the cube .

Solution -

Let the edge of the given cube be a cm .

\setlength{\unitlength}{4mm}\begin{picture}(5,5)\multiput(0,0)(0,10){2}{\multiput(0,0)(4,4){2}{\line(1,0){10}}\multiput(0,0)(10,0){2}{\line(1,1){4}}}\multiput(0,0)(10,0){2}{\multiput(0,0)(4,4){2}{\line(0,1){10}}}\end{picture}

We know that -

Volume Of Cube -

=> a³

But , the volume of the cube is given as 100 cm³ .

So

a³ = 100

=> a = 3√ { 100 }

=> a = 4.64 cm .

Hence the required edge of the cube is 4.64 cm.

Additional Information -

For a cube of edge a cm -

The lateral Surface area of the cube is 4a² unit² .

The total surface area of the cube is 6a² unit² .
