Answer:

Explanation:

Effective resistance (Ef) in parallel circuit

1/Ef = 1/3 + 1/6

Ef = 2 ohm

Now, 2 ohm and 6 ohm are in seies combination,

So total effective resistance = 2 + 6 ohm

                                                = 8 ohm

Answer:

R = 11Ω

Explanation:

firstly , 3Ω & 6Ω are in parallel

so , there equivalent resistance

=> 1/R' = (1/3) + (1/6) = { (1×2) + (1×1) } ÷ 6

=> 1/R' = (3/6) = (1/2)

=> R' = 2Ω

not equivalent resistance of whole circuit is ,series combination of R' & 9Ω resistor

therefore

R = (2) + (9)

R = 11Ω
