The emperical formula is the chemical formula which represents the simplest whole number ratio.

To find simple whole no ratio we need to calculate the relative numbers of atoms present in given sample.

Relative number of atoms=

 \frac{given \: weight}{atomic \: weight}

so the emperical formula is

Fe(SO4).7H2O
