Given that:

Number of students= 35

To find:-

The value of x or the numbers of boys.

★Solution:-

Number of boys + Number of girls = Total Number of students.

$\sf \leadsto x + \dfrac{2}{5}x = 35$

$\sf \leadsto \dfrac{5}{5}x + \dfrac{2}{5}x = 35$

$\sf \leadsto \dfrac{5x + 2x}{5} = 35$

$\sf \leadsto \dfrac{7x}{5} = 35$

$\sf \implies x = \dfrac{35 \times 5}{7}=25$

$\boxed{\sf x = 25}$

Number of girls = $\sf \dfrac{2}{5}x = \dfrac{2}{5} \times 25 = 10$

Number of boys = 25
