ANSWER

A general equation for line having slope m is , y = mx + c , where m is slope of line .

Here m = 3,

So, y = 3x + c .

Now to eliminate c we will use the information that line passes through (1,2),

2 = 3(1)+c which gives c = -1 .

So equation of line is , 3x - y - 1 = 0 .
