There are infinite equations passing through point -1 as x and 2 as y.(x,y)

Equation which can has x as -1 & y as 2 and is represent on graph on would look like ax+by=0.

=-1a+2b=0

as this is a linear equation with two variables, there are infinite possibilities

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}&a&b\\&2&1\\&4&2\end{array}\right]

from above table, 2x+1y=0 & 4x+2y are two equations out of infinite equations which can pass through points(-1,2) which means these equation would have x as -1 and y as -2 and the result of that linear equation would be 0.

hope it helps,
