Solutions

Parallel to the equ, ax +by+k = 0

1. equ which is parallel to 4x+ 3y + 2 = 0,

4x+3y+k = 0

passing through (4,1),

4(4)+3(1)+k = 0

16+3+k = 0

19+k = 0

k = -19

2. equ which is parallel to 2x - 3y + 1 = 0

2x - 3y + k = 0

Passing through (2, 2),

2(2)- 3(2)+ k = 0

4-6+k = 0

-2+k = 0

k = 2

3. equ which is parallel to 3x - 4y + 1 = 0

3x - 4y + k = 0

Passing through (-2, 4),

3(-2)- 4(4) + k = 0

-6-16+k = 0

-22+k = 0

k = 22
