The line which is parallel to 2x+5y-7=0 is of the form 2x+5y+k=0
Midpoint = (2-4/2, 7+1/2)
Midpt= (-1,4)
the line passes through (-1,4)
therefore
subs Midpt in 2x+5y+k=0
we get
2 (-1)+5 (4)+k=0
-2+20+k=0
k=18
Therefore 2x+5y+18=0 is the required eqn
I guess this is correct
