Answer:

Equation formed by Two intercepts is

a

x

+

b

y

=1

Given that, a=b

Since the line is passing through the point (2,3)

So,

a

2

+

a

3

=1

a

5

=1

∴a=5

Hence, b=5

The equation of the line is

5

x

+

5

y

=1 (or) x+y−5=0

hope it helps!

Equation of a line by intercept form is :

\dfrac{x}{a}+\dfrac{y}{b}=1

Where a = x-intercept

&b = y-intercept

Given that x&y intercepts are equal.

a=b

Thus , the equation of the line is

\dfrac{x}{a}+\dfrac{y}{a}=1

(As b = 1)

x + y = a

x + y - a = 0
