Hlw mate!!
Eq of the line,
-x + 2y = 4
Slope of the line, m = -a/b = -(-1/2) = 1/2
Slope of the perpendicular line, m' = -1/m = -1/(1/2) = -2
Now eq of the perpendicular line passing through (-2,1) is,
y-1 = -2{x-(-2)}
y-1 = -2x-4
y-1+2x+4 = 0
2x+y+3 = 0 (ans)
Hope it helpful
