Given : Line  passes through ( 2, 2√3 ) and is inclined with the x-axis at an angle of 75°.

To find : Equation of line

Solution:

Equation of a line passing through point (x₁ , y₁)

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

m = Slope of line = tan 75°

x₁ = 2   , y₁ = 2√3

m = tan 75°

= tan(45° + 30°)

= (Tan 45° + tan 30°)/(1 - Tan45°Tan30°)

= ( 1 + 1/√3) /( 1 - 1/√3)

= (√3  + 1)/(√3 - 1)

= (3 + 1 + 2√3)/2

= 2 + √3

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

=> y  - 2√3  = (2 + √3)(x - 2)

=> y  - 2√3  =  (2 + √3)x   - 4 - 2√3

=> y  = (2 + √3)x   - 4

y  = (2 + √3)x   - 4  the equation of the line which passes through ( 2, 2√3) and is inclined with the x-axis at an angle of 75°.
