  \mathtt{\huge{ \fbox{SOLUTION :}}}

Given , The sum x intercept and y intercept is zero , so ,

b + a = 0

b = - a

We know that , the point intercept form is given by

 \large \star \sf \:  \fbox{ \frac{x}{a} +  \frac{y}{b}  = 1 }

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto \frac{x}{a}  -  \frac{y}{a} = 1 \\  \\ \sf \mapsto  x - y = a

Since , the line is passing through the point (-2,4) , So

 \sf \mapsto  - 2 - 4 = a \\  \\  \sf \mapsto  a = - 6

On substituting a = -6 in equation (i) , we get

x - y = - 6

Hence , x - y = - 6 is the required equation of line
