y = 2

Here the distance of the line from x-axis will always remain the same i.e. 2 units.
Because the distance of the line from x-axis will remain the same the line will be parallel to x-axis.

You can also write another equations -

y = 7
y = 1 4
y = 10

In all these equations the distance of the line from x-axis will remain same hence they will be parallel.
