Sum of roots = 5 + root 2 + 5 - root2
= 10

Product of roots = (5+root2)(5 - root2)
= 5^2 - (root2) ^2
= 25 - 2
= 23

Required equation = x^2 - (sum of roots) x + Product of roots

=> x^2 - 10x + 23 = 0

This is the required equation....

Hope it helps.... ☺
