( x - 3 )/5 + 1 = 2

=> ( x - 3 + 5 ) /5 = 2

=> ( x + 2 )/5 = 2

=> x + 2 = 10

=> x = 10 - 2

=> x = 8

Hey

X-3/5+1=2
X-3/6=2

X-3=12
X=9

Just add the denominator , then multiply it with 2 on the R. H. S then sub 3 from it and their you got the value of x
