Since it is making 30° with y-axis so it will make 60° with x-axis.

we know that,

(y-y1)=m(x-x1)

m=Slope=tan theta

(Since theta=60°)

Therefore,Slope=tan 60°

m=√3

Now, According to question

(y-2)=√3(x-1)

y-2=√3x-√3

3x-y-(3-2)=0 is the equation of the line passing through (1,2) and making angle 30° with y-axis.
