Answer:IF WE CONSIDER THE VOLTMETER TO HAVE ZERO RESISTANCE

THEN THE EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE=1.5+2+.5=4

so total current=emf/resistance=8/4=2

voltmeter reading=ir=2*1.5=3
