A simple answer would be to assume a battery attached between the terminals A and B with voltage V.Any one terminal to the positive end of battery and assume other to be Zero. And use Nodal analysis to find the current flowing through the battery, which will be int the terms of V and r, assume it to be I, use the formula V=IR. Calculate R,this will be your equivalent resistance in terms of r.
