here 3ohm and 1 ohm are in series

so it will be R1=3+1=4

Now in second wire 3ohm and 3 ohm are in series therefore R2=3+3=6ohm

Now R1 R2 and 6 ohm are in parallel series therefore 1/R= 1/4+1/6+1/6

=7/12

therefore equivalent resistance Rab =12/7
