The answer for your question is option (2)
We know that, the current prefers the way in which there is no resistance/ less resistance.
So, in the figure, current flows through the way which has zero resistance.So, the current flows in such that a way I marked.
Now, resistance 15ohms and resistance 1ohm are in series.
Equivalent resistance =15+1=16 ohms
