3

Eq weight = Molecular wt/n

here n=3×2 .....for 2 Al

Molecular wt is 342/6

57

Phosey: yep
Phosey: if ratio of nitrogen to oxygen present in a compound by mass is 7:8 then the ratio of number of atoms of nitrogen to oxygen is
Phosey: what should be the answer of this question.......
Phosey: I am not getting the write answer...
varaddaithankar: mass ratio is 7:8 so let us say nitrogen mass is 7gm and oxygen 8gm
varaddaithankar: so moles of nitrogen are 7/28=1/4 moles.....since nitrogen is present in N2 state
varaddaithankar: moles of O2 are 8/32=1/4
varaddaithankar: so no. of atoms of N2 are moles*2*Avagadros no........2 for 2 molecules of N and similarily for O2
varaddaithankar: this ratio would come 1:1 ....which is the answer
Phosey: thanks
