The sentence 'senior than me does not suit the syntax.

Instead, a more fitting sentence can be 'senior to me'.


The first two options seem to be perfect in the sense that a person can be told about her year but then 'than' in the third option does not fit perfectly with the sense that it wants to convey to a reader. therefore, the third option can easily be chosen out of the four available.
