Given, Moment of inertia(MOI) of sphere about its diameter=52MR2=I

Using Parallel axis theorem, I=Icm+Mx2 where Icm is MOI about centre of mass x is distance between centre of mass and axis of rotation.

⇒MOI of system=2×52MR2+2×(52MR2+MR2)=518MR2=9I
