Given:

A polynomial 81x² - 1.

To find:

The factor of 81x² - 1.

Solution:

To answer this question, first of all, we should know one of the algebraic quantities which is

 {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}  = (a - b)(a + b)

Now, as given,

we have a polynomial

81x² - 1

 = {(9x)}^{2}  -  {(1)}^{2}

(as the square of 9 is 81)

This can be written as

(9x + 1)(9x - 1)

( from the above mentioned algebraic quantity)

Hence, the factors of 81x² - 1 are 9x + 1 and 9x - 1.
