find the factor of the polynomial :

HI FRND!

suppose, p(x)=x^2-5x+6

Factorizing by using middle term splitting......

x^2-2x-3x+6

(because 2+3=5 and 2*3=6)

taking common;

x(x-2) - 3(x-2)

= (x-3)(x-2)

now as x-3=0 & x-2=0

thus,

x=3 & x=3

Therefore the factors of p(x) are 2 & 3.
