  x^{2} +17x+72=0.

=72* x^{2} = 72 x^{2} .we have to get 72 x^{2} as the product of factors.

we have to get 17x if we subtract/add the factors.

so the factors are=8x and 9x.= 8x+9x = 17x. and 8x*9x= 72 x^{2} .

so, x^{2} +8x+9x+72.
if we take common:

x(x+8) +9(x+8).

so the factors are-x+8, x+9....

         (or)
x+8= 0. so, x= -8.
x+9=o.so, x= -9

hope this helps u.n pls mark as brainliest........
