➝$\sf\green{ ( y - 5 ) ( y - 1 ) = 0}$

so, y = $\sf\red{ 5 ,or1}$are the factors of this equation.

Middle term splitting

Solution :

y2 + 5 - 6y.

y²-6y+5

So , 5×1=5

And 5+1=6

y²-(5+1)y+5

now opening bracket

y²-5y-y+5

y(y-5)-1(y-5)

(y-5)(y-1)

So , y= 5 or 1

Hence , factors are (y-5) and (y-1)
