Step-by-step explanation:

First of all we will write the given values :

First term = a = 5

Use the formula a + (n-1)d

➡ 6th term = a + (6–1)d = a + 5d

➡ 3rd term = a + (3–1)d = a + 2d

Its given that 6th term is 10 times 3rd term so the equation will be

➡ a + 5d = 10(a + 2d)

➡ a +5d = 10a + 20d

➡ a - 10a = 20d - 5d

➡ -9a = 15d

➡ -3a = 5d

We know that the value a =5

➡ -3(5) = 5d

➡ -15 = 5d

➡ d = -15/5

➡ d = (-3)
