Step-by-step explanation:

we have

12x²-28y+8=0

12x²-24x-4x+8=0

12x(x-2)-4(x-2)=0

(12x-4)(x-2)=0

x=4/12 or x=2

or x= 1/3or x=2

Solution:-

We have polynomial

12y² + 28y - 8 = 0

Take a 4 common on given polynomial

4( 3y² + 7y - 2 ) = 0

=> 3y² + 7y - 2 = 0

Using factorization method

3y² + 7y - 2 = 0

=3y² + 6y + y - 2 = 0

=3y( y + 2 ) + ( y - 2 ) = 0

= ( 3y + 1 ) (y - 2) = 0

=3y + 1 = 0 and y - 2 = 0

y = -1/3 and y = 2

Value of y = -1/3 and 2
