Given :-

  • Radius of curvature of a convex mirror is 32 cm

To Find :-

  • Focal length of that convex mirror.

Solution :-

~Here, we're given that radius of curvature of a convex mirror is 32 cm and we need to find the focal length of that convex mirror. We can easily find the focal length by putting the values in the formula of finding radius of curvature when focal length is given.

_____________

As we know that ,

Radius of Curvature = 2 × ( F )

Where,

  • F is the focal length

Finding the focal length :-

⟶ 32 cm = 2 × F

⟶ F = ( 32 ÷ 2 ) cm

⟶ F = 16 cm

_____________

Hence,

  • Focal length of the convex mirror is 16 cm

Answer:

16 CM

EXPLANATION: The focal length of a spherical mirror is equal to half the radius of curvature of that mirror.

The radius of curvature, R= 32 cm

Radius of curvature = 2 — Focal length (f)

R= 2f=

f = R/2 = 32/2 = 16

Hence, the focal length of the given convex mirror is 16 cm.
