Power = 1/Focal length
Focal length = -1/2 m = -0.5 metres = -50 centimetres
So, this Lens is a concave lens, i.e a diverging lens because the focal length is negative.

Hope this helps you !

Shailesh183816: Bhai Power Pahle se hi meter mai
Shailesh183816: -0.5 hogi focal length
dhruvsh: Power toh dioptre me hai na , isliye focal length jo ayegi woh metre me aegi
dhruvsh: dikkat kya ho gayi?
Shailesh183816: Bhai 1Dioptre =1 m so
Shailesh183816: Wo pahle se hi meter mai hai
dhruvsh: 1 Dioptre = 1 per metre hai na
dhruvsh: toh fir focal length bhi metre me hi rahegi na

Answer:

f=-50cm

The power of a lens is defined as the reciprocal of the focal length. Lens power is measured in dioptres (D). Converging (convex )lenses have positive focal lengths, so they also have positive power values. Diverging (concave ) lenses have negative focal lengths, so they also have negative power values
