 \frac{1}{u}  +  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{f}
from this formula you can find the focal length of convex lens

Part (<i>) To find focal length of concave mirror in concave mirror the distance between the pole P of the concave mirror and the focus f is the focal length of a concave mirror does the focal length of concave mirror can be estimated by obtaining a real image of a distant object as its focus.
