Given:

(7x/4 - 2y/3)2

To find:

find the following by using identity 2 (3) (7x/4 - 2y/3)2

Solution:

From given, we have,

(3) (7x/4 - 2y/3)2

Considering the identity 2 to be (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab

∴ (7x/4 - 2y/3)²

⇒ a = 7x/4

b = 2y/3

(7x/4 - 2y/3)² = (7x/4)² + (2y/3)² - 2 (7x/4) (2y/3)

= 49x²/16 + 4y²/9 - 7xy/3

(7x/4 - 2y/3)² = 49x²/16 + 4y²/9 - 7xy/3
