The frictional force is acting upon the body because the surface of the inclined plane is rough.subtract Fi and Ff to work out the resultant force: F = 12.607 N - 3.005 N = 9.602 N. thus acceleration can be derived: a = 9.602 N / 2 kg = 4.801 m/s² the length ofinclined plane equals: L = 5 m / sin40° = 7.779 m. so the sliding time can be obtained: t = √(2 * 7.779 m / 4.801 m/s²) = 1.8 s.
