Answer:

Given-

Acceleration of rod= 9 m/s

Mass of Wedge=10 Kg

Explanation:

Use the constraint equation to get the acceleration of the wedge.

You get,

Acceleration of rod= Acceleration of wedge × tan@

                             9= Acceleration of wedge * 3/4

So,

Acceleration of wedge = 9*4/3

Acceleration of wedge = 12ms-2.

Force exerted by rod on wedge has 2 components.

Equate the horizontal component .i.e.

Force = N sin@            and         =Mass of wedge × Acceleration of wedge.

So,       = N*3/5                             =10*120

           = 10×120> N = 200 N.

Answer:

Explanation:

9cos37 = Asin37

9cot37 = A

12 m/sec^2 = A

Nsin37 = 120

N(3/5) = 120

n = 200
