Area = 2 m².

Density of water = 1  g/cm³. = 1000 kg/m³.

Depth of the water = 500 m.

Now, Pressure = hρg

∴ Pressure = 500 × 1000 × 9.8

= 49 × 10⁵ Pa.

Now, Force =  Pressure × Area.

F = 49 × 10⁵ × 2

∴ F = 98 × 10⁵

∴ F = 9.8 × 10⁶ N.

Now, This force will remain the same irrespective of the orientation of the surface because the pressure at a point in the liquid is the same in all directions and acts perpendicular to the surface.

Hope it helps.
