find the force required to stop a car of mass 100kg with two passengers each of 50 kg sitting inside, if it is moving at 20m/s speed and take 5s to stop​

we know that,

F = Mass × Acceleration

=100 + 50 +50 × 20/5

....(mass is equal to all the mass in the car , so added 2 person = 100kg)

( acceleration = speed/ time)

Force = 200 × 4

= 800 N

total mass= mass of car+ mass of two passengers

= 100+2(50)

= 100+100

= 200kg

now,

speed=20m/s

time= 5 s

a=v/t

=20/5

= 4m/s^2

Now,

force(F) = mass(m)*acceleration (a)

= 200*4

=800 N
