LET BE THE FOURTH PROPORTIONAL BE X

THEN ,

15 : 6 :: 7 : X

now ,

PRODUCT OF MEANS = PRODUCT OF EXTREMES

PRODUCT OF MEANS = 7 × 6

PRODUCT OF EXTREMES = 15x

THEREFORE :-

7 × 6 = 15x

42 = 15 x

42 ÷ 15 = x

2.8 = x

HENCE , the fourth proportional to 15,6,7 IS 2.8
